Little Steps Towards "Higher Ground"

There are some days where I’m so busy running the rat race that I completely over look the little things. Take my daily cup of coffee for instance. I used to get my coffee in the paper cup provided to me and be on my way. Little did I realize I was racking up nearly 25 pounds of waste paper each year. One day, as I’m waiting to order my double this, triple that, I see someone hand over their commuter mug to the barista and voila no more coffee cups in a landfill with my name on them. Now I bring my own mug to fill. In fact some shops even reward this effort; Starbucks’ “Commuter Mug Discount” takes $0.10 off your drink for providing your own mug.
We’ve taken this concept to an even ‘Higher Ground’ and offer mugs made from environmentally conscious material. Groups have found great success in promoting their campaigns or even selling merchandise with these ‘green’ coffee mugs. Coffee mug options range from biodegradable corn plastic to recycled plastics and recycled acrylic. By using items like these you reduce waste, employ recycled materials, and promotes reuse of the mug. Rethreads encourages you to use environmentally conscious products in your home and business.
